põhiseaduslikkuse järelevalve kohus. Riigikohtu pädevus
on sätestatud kohtute seaduses.

The Supreme Court en banc has ruled that the amendments to the Churches and Congregations Act can be interpreted in a manner that does not lead to arbitrary compulsory dissolution of religious associations and therefore does not violate freedom of religion or freedom of association.
From 20 to 22 May, representatives of the highest courts of the Baltic States met in Tallinn to discuss recent developments within their judicial systems as well as significant civil and criminal case law from recent years.
Judges from five countries paid a visit to Estonia’s courts and judicial authorities from 8-19 September. The specificities and bottlenecks of legal systems were discussed during the meetings, as were possibilities for the development of the law.
